Nicole Barr
Color fused by Fire
For thousands of years, the art of enameling has graced the necklines of royalty, with major jewelry houses Tiffany and Co., Rene Lalique, and Faberge contributing to the expansion of vitreous enamel work in the 19th and 20th Centuries.
Since 1982, Nicole Barr has created wearable art, maintaining the standards of the masters who came before her.
Using true vitreous enamel (hard fired glass) painstakingly applied by hand to 18K gold and sterling silver, her jewelry is complemented with the finest diamonds, pearls, and gemstones.
The beautiful colors in Nicole Barr jewelry are created by heating powdered glass to temperatures of over 1500 degrees Farenheit.
This melts the glass and fuses it to the 18k gold or sterling silver in your jewelry piece- giving you color that will not change over time.
The heirloom quality design is a work of art following the time honored traditions of Master Craftsmen dating back more than 3000 years.
To inhibit tarnishing, sterling silver jewelry (including chains and wires) is finished with rhodium plating.
